Summary

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, profitable sales promotion of NAVCO’s Security products and services by effectively planning, organizing, directing and coordinating sales efforts in the assigned region.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
HOURS: To be established by Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Major roles and responsibilities:
1. Personal sales efforts with key accounts in the immediate geographic area of the office. Plans, schedules, and directs frequent customer sales appointments with emphasis on becoming their primary electronic security system provider.
2. Prospecting efforts in a defined territory or vertical market. Calls on new people within existing accounts, generates referrals, and finds new prospects through networking, involvement in trade associations, and cold calling. Track effectiveness through NAVCO’s activity management system.
3. Ensure all information/specifications necessary to complete proposals are acquired from customer. Prepare all security-related proposals and be responsible for their accuracy in both what is included and areas of clarification or exclusion.
4. Sell over management’s expectations mutually agreed upon monthly and annually.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years of experience in sales with a successful track record of closing big deals with C suite individuals.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk up stairs, travel in planes, good driving record, set up trade show equipment, lug suitcases, give presentations and perform evaluations in person.
Equipment and Software used on the Job: Computers, Tablets, Salesforce.com, GoToMeeting, Microsoft Office and Partner’s customized solutions.
Measurements of Success:
1. Ability to open up new accounts and turn prospects into customers
2. Ability to help customers move forward on important projects
3. Individual sales volume on a monthly and annual basis
4. Gross Margin of closed sales
5. Relationship with All Key Accounts in the region as a Trusted Advisor
6. Monthly KPIs and 30 day goals committed to and accomplished.
7. Must show teamwork, integrity, responsibility, respect, honesty and quality.
Compensation Structure:
Salary, Commissions and Sales Awards as per the NAVCO Sales Compensation Plan
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must have the ability to read and interpret instructions, correspondence, and operating
procedures. Ability to speak to customers or employees of organization and effectively present and explain the very complicated in a simple manner to someone not an expert in that complication. Excellent phone and verbal communication skills required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must have ability to compute rates, discounts, percentages, square footage, and volume, and to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
