Summary

THE JOB/THE GIST
Responsible for installation execution within required budget constraints while ensuring superior customer service and the highest quality of work. Acts as the front-line point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication. Collaborate with sales and the group operations manager to achieve gross profit targets.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

HOURS: Established by Manager. This position will require night work (11pm to 7 am) or adjusted as needed.

TRAVEL: This position will require travel across Texas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute installation of security systems including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and related low-voltage systems.
• Ensure all installations meet company standards for quality, safety, and code compliance.
• Deliver superior customer service by maintaining professionalism and clear communication with clients on-site.
• Serve as the front-line client contact during installations, addressing questions, concerns, and technical issues.
• Collaborate with project managers, sales staff, and operations team to align installations with project timelines and budget constraints.
• Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and final commissioning to ensure optimal functionality.
• Maintain detailed installation documentation including job logs, as-built drawings, and system configurations.
• Receive customer signature upon completion of job to verify satisfaction and project completion.
• Train clients on basic system operation and provide post-installation support as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment on-site

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in security system installation or a related low-voltage field.
• Strong working knowledge of CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, intercom, and related systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to interact professionally with clients and coworkers.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to travel to job sites as needed.
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening in accordance with company and client requirements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• 2 years minimum industry experience.
• High school diploma or GED, technical school or relevant certifications (e.g., BICSI, NICET, ESA, or manufacturer-specific training) preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must have the ability to read and interpret instructions, correspondence, and operating
procedures. Be able to write routine reports, correspondence, and ability to effectively present information and speak to customers or employees of organization. Excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication skills required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
