SUMMARY:

NAVCO Security Systems, a nationwide security company, is looking for an experienced Installer for IP based CCTV, burglar alarm & controlled access systems in the greater Los Angeles area. The candidate chosen for this position will be installing, programming and training customers on the use of analog & IP based CCTV, burglar alarm and controlled access systems.

NAVCO requires the candidate applying for this job to agree to a background check and DMV driving record check.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Qualifications:

• General understanding of electrical systems and how CCTV, alarm & controlled access systems work from the end-device to management software.
• General construction knowledge and light to moderate blueprint reading skills
• General safety knowledge, mainly applying to tool use, ladders, and man-lifts
• Basic to intermediate experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word programs.
• Ability to install all required cabling & equipment in accordance with NEC.
• Programming knowledge of how to setup and configure all systems, install “End User / Client” & “Admin” software on customer provided PC’s / Laptops & mobile devices, and to train customers on how to use, program and manage their systems once their system is installed and online.
• Intermediate to advanced computer hardware & software installation skills are required to build video monitoring stations and setup of access card / badge ID printers
• Entry-level experience of how to setup IP backbone structure and configure managed network switches for IP based CCTV systems, including the development of IP schemes to use for larger systems.
• Good driving record
• Be a reliable, self-starter, professional individual who is able to work with minimum supervision, with a very high customer service orientation, and excellent written and verbal communication.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience is preferred on equipment manufactured by the following companies:
• CCTV ??“ Avigilon, March Networks, Exacq, Verint, 3VR, OpenEye & Axis
• Alarm - DMP, Bosch, Honeywell & Vista NX8 Panels
• Controlled Access - Lenel, Hirsch, S2, IEI, Brivo & Keyscan.


Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervision responsibilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard business hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position may require after-hours work, early hours and weekend work.
