Summary

Rate of Pay: $24-$30 Hour

Responsible for service execution within required budget constraints. Front line client point of contact. Communicates with the national dispatch center and internal support to address open service calls.

NAVCO Security Systems, an employee-owned national security services company, is looking for an experienced Service Technician / Installer for CCTV, Alarm and Card Access Systems to work out of our Benicia, CA office. The person chosen will be servicing and installing CCTV, Alarm and Card Access systems.

The candidate selected must be able to work on his/her own with minimal supervision. You must be a self-starter, motivated, and have an excellent driving record.

NAVCO requires the candidate applying for this job to agree to a background check and DMV driving record check.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Work efficiently utilizing internal inventory app. Stage equipment and handle warehouse inquiries. Provide cabling and programming labor. Provide written documentation within the work order, notes, and client signature upon project completion. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Requirements

Service and installation of high-tech CCTV surveillance and card access systems. Experience with CCTV systems and/or card accesses systems. Good Driving record is mandatory. Be reliable, self-starter, professional individual with a very high customer service orientation, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Perform routine maintenance on all security equipment. This includes cleaning the VCR, monitors, and adjusting all cameras for proper focus and depth of field. Respond to all service-related calls on a daily basis and repairs any part of the security system that is non-operational. Respond to any urgent request of his/her direct superior in order to facilitate excellent customer service. Must know basic electricity and basic networks. • Three (3) to Five (5) years experience preferred in:
GE, DMP, Bosch (Radionics), Casi Rusco, Secure Perfect, Picture Perfect, Dedicated Micros, Intellex, Sensormatic Equipment, Hirsch, March, and Pelco, Vista NX8 Panels
• Must know light to medium construction/blueprint reading
• Strong Project Management and Organizational Skills
• Networking and IP Knowledge
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, draw, and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Carry out verbal communication with customers in a responsible manner.
